Zachary Foster, Assistant Director, is a 2005 Graduate of Pearland HS and Choir Alum working to educate a new generation of Oiler singers. Mr. Foster works with the Concert Mixed, Freshmen Girls, and Bel Canto ensembles and teaches the AP Music Theory course. Mr. Foster’s choir students consistently participate in Region Choirs and attain Sweepstakes, Superior and Excellent ratings at UIL Concert and Sight Reading contests.
Mr. Foster is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s of Music Education where he sang under the direction of Drs. Kenneth Fulton and Sara Lynn Baird. While at LSU, Mr. Foster was a recipient of several distinguished awards for Choral and Educational Excellence as well as a member of the LSU Chamber Singers - a paid ensemble for the purpose of Master and Doctoral conducting experience. Mr. Foster performed in several Major Works with LSU, the Bay Area Chorus, and the First United Methodist Church of Pearland. He was the featured tenor soloist with the Bay Area Chorus’s performance of Schubert’s Mass in G. Additional performances include: Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem, Mozart’s C Minor Mass, and Vivaldi’s Gloria.
In his spare time, Mr. Foster spends his days chasing his son around the house, aruging with his dogs Ariel and Belle who like to bark non-stop, and playing nerdy games (both board and video) with his wife Danielle.
