Mr. Rowe

Welcome to Principles of Art, A/V Technologies and Communications, Exploring Video Technologies, or Yearbook with Mr. Rowe!

I graduated from The University of Houston - Clearlake with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Design and Visual Arts. I am currently in the process of finishing a Masters of Arts degree in Digital Media Studies from the same campus. I began working at Pearland Junior High East as the art teacher for two years starting in August of 2010. In August of 2012, I switched roles and began teaching in the CTE department with a focus in A/V Technologies and Communication and Career Portals, the following year, I took on the additional task of teaching Yearbook where students learn to create a fun and egaging publication and also do the video announcements that are viewed by the students daily.

After serving in the military, going into business for myself, then working for the Dell Corporation, I was in the beginning stages of a Masters degree when offered a career opportunity in the teaching profession. I have not looked back since. This year I am excited as I get to work with your student delving into the world of media, with its history, its ethics, its theory, and its technical processes of production. I also have the privilege of seeing your students creative work from applying those processes.

I am married to my wonderful wife and we have three sons who have all graduated and gone on to successful careers. In my spare time I like being with my family and friends, going to and doing serious art and film related activities, photography, and archery.
