Welcome to my webpage! Here is where you can learn everything you ever wanted to know about me.

This is my 13th year to teach 4th grade Reading and Language Arts at Carleston. I have been involved in PTA and as a parent at Carleston since 2000.

I have 4 children. Eric is the oldest. He graduated from Clear Brook in 2001, and then served in the Marines for 4 years. He is married, and he and his wife, Amanda, have 2 children, Keaton and Kali. They live in Colorado.

Kyle is my second oldest child. He graduated May 2010 from Pearland High. He played the contra and bass clarinet in band. Several years ago he was on the kids tv show Endurance:Fiji.  It was a lot of fun for him. He graduated from Texas A & M with a degree Ocean Engineering. He now works in Houston for an Ocean Engineering Co.

My last children are my twins Megan and Micah.  They are starting their sophomore year in college. Megan attends Texas A & M and studies Landscape Architecture, and Micah attends UH and studies Spanish with an education minor. The girls stay very busy with school and extra curricular activities. Megan is a member of TAMU rowing team and loves attending the regattas. She also had a whirlwind summer of traveling going to a family reunion, Disney World and Cape Cod. Micah participated in a study abroad program this summer in Cuernavaca, Mexico and traveled through Mexico including Acapulco.

I really enjoy teaching 4th grade Reading and Writing. I work hard to make learning fun and keep all of my students engaged!!!  I enjoy reading books that also have movie versions, so my students can compare and contrast both of them.  We do many different types of writing and reading, such as Folklore, Greek myths, poetry, fairy tales, and middle ages.  Sometimes my students get to run activities in the class and explore self-directed learning, as well as, create fun projects.
