Degrees and Certifications:
I am so excited to start a great 4th grade year! This is my 6th year at Challenger and my 3rd year teaching 4th grade. I have also taught 1st and 3rd grade, but 4th grade is my favorite! I hope to instill a love of reading and writing in my 4th graders and maybe even some grammar too! I strive to create a classroom where students feel inspired to learn, grow and think creatively. Along with academics, it is always my goal to create a positive classroom environment. The classroom should be a place where students are kind and encouraging to one another and feel the classroom is a safe place to make mistakes, learn, grow and never give up! Our classroom family is a big part of the success students have during the school year. I always love watching how much students learn and grow in 4th grade.
If you ever have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask.
We are in this together!
Teacher's Wish List:
There are items that come up during the year that we need, however they weren't on the school supply list. If you'd ever like to donate the following items, I'd appreciate it!
-note cards, highlighters (all colors), plastic yellow folders, bottles of liquid glue, markers (regular and skinny)
*Below are the explanations of the resources you can find on my webpage!
I will download a digital copy of the homework every week. I usually am able to download the homework on Fridays, so students can always print a copy and work on it over the weekend if they’d like. I also keep copies on a labeled shelf at school, so students can always get an extra copy of their homework if they misplace theirs.
Spelling City/Scholastic Order Class Page:
I update this weekly with the week’s spelling list. This is a great way for extra practice on spelling words.
There is also a link to my Scholastic Book Order class page for ordering books with a credit card.
Book Reports/Class Projects/Study Guides:
I will download a digital copy of any book reports or projects I assign throughout the year.
I will download a copy of any important forms, such as party information, field trip forms, etc. on my webpage.
Anytime I find a good website, I like to share it with my students. If you know of any good sites, please share it with me! I like to have lots of good resources for extra practice that students find fun.
Peek of the Week:
I update the peek weekly. I include important upcoming dates and what we are learning in class.
You can find a detailed daily schedule of your child, with specials and lunch times.
My conference time is 2:05-2:50 Monday-Thursday.
