Lawhon Students: Be...safe, responsible, respectful.
This will be my fifteenth year as School Counselor at Lawhon Elementary. I am very excited to welcome our returning students back and to meet our new incoming students. This school year we continue to have fun with the "Be..." theme.
This year our guidance lessons will expand on the concept of GRIT and Integrity as well as Bully Prevention, Drug Free Awareness, and Anti-Victimization lessons. In addition, the students will hear a character building message every day during morning announcements and during our semester spirit rallies.
I also provide individual counseling, as well as topical small group counseling to those students who may need some extra support to succeed in the school setting. Students are referred to me by their teachers or parents/guardians for individual and group counseling. Friendship/Social Skills, Self Esteem, Anxiety, Anger Management, Divorce, and Grief counseling are some of the many topical groups available to our students.
If you have any concerns regarding your son or daughter, please feel free to contact me at 281 412-1445. I would love to talk with you over the phone or set up a conference so that we can meet in person.
