Mrs. Brianna Etoria
Welcome! I am an English I & II teacher here at Turner. I myself attended an early college high school! Afterward, I graduated from the University of Houston- Clear Lake with an undergraduate degree in Anthropology, and a graduate degree in Cross Cultural Studies. I became passionate about education and teaching as I moved through my studies and earned my certifications to teach while completing my degrees.
My experience working with students ranges from providing economic and emotional support in the counseling office, to one-on-one tutoring, to being a classroom teacher. I have worked with students from grade 5 all the way to graduate level university students.
In addition to teaching here, I also teach a class for UHCL called "Anthropology of Food." In my free time, I love to travel to new places where I can try new foods and experience different cultures. On an average school night, I am most likely grading, cooking dinner, doing chores, or going to the gym (that love of food has consequences...). I look forward to spending the year expanding your knowledge of reading and writing, and supporting your personal growth!
