Ms. Kyla Mora

Texas native Ms. Mora is new at Robert Turner College and Career High School for this, her 4th year as a full-time teacher. Before she came to Turner, she taught in school districts in San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley. Ms. Mora has also worked in the field of journalism, most recently as a reporter with the USA Today outlet in Guam, USA. She is a cum laude graduate of the Honors College at the University of Texas at San Antonio. 

She is an obsessive bookworm and a fan of film, podcasts, art, music and dance. She will talk you to death if you ask about any one of her favorite series. 

In the classroom, Ms. Mora is a firm believer in a reconstructive approach to teaching vocabulary, in developing strong, clear writing skills, and in finding fascinating works of literature to illuminate the world. 

Conference Hours: 1 p.m. - 2:20 p.m. daily

Tutoring: Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:20 p.m. - 4 p.m.
