Employee Transfer Request
A transfer request is a means to notify the principal/department director at location(s) where you have an interest in working should a vacancy occur. Each February, deadlines are announced to request/accept a transfer depending on job category. You may submit a transfer request even if there is not a current opening at that location(s).
When you complete a transfer request, the current principal/department director is made aware of the request via email. All employees are eligible for a transfer unless they have been placed on a growth plan or a Teacher in Need of Assistance (TINA) plan; requesting a transfer in no way forfeits your current position.
If a transfer request is approved, the receiving principal/department director may select you for an interview to any open position for which you are qualified. If recommended by the receiving principal/department director, HRS will notify you and all supervisors of the official transfer to a new location.
