• My Counseling Philosophy

My counseling philosophy is to meet every child’s needs from where they are and do it in a respectful and caring way. I believe in positive environment that allows a strong community of learners and to meet the child’s needs. When educators model their love of learning, they influence their students; motivation and purpose for learning. I believe children need opportunities to converse and interact with one another in class and small groups.  When one is given the opportunity to speak out their thoughts, it activates more of the senses to remember or formulate their own reflections. This process also allows the children to be validated in a deeper meaning. I believe in my calling as an educator and working with students, but even more so to be a counselor and support their needs. I strive to impact their lives that will change their mind and heart forever.
