BE A WATCHDOG!!

Calling all Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students)!  Shadycrest Elementary has founded this new program to involve all Fathers and Male Role Models at Shadycrest Elementary to positively influence the students by the committed involvement of fathers and father figures in the lives of their children and students.  Our first year was a huge success.  We hope to continue that success as we begin our second year of this program. 

Any dads or male role models interested in volunteering as a WatchDOGS can participate by following these four easy steps:

Step 1:   Email ShadycrestPTA@yahoo.com or stop by the school and request the registration and volunteer instruction forms.  Reference “WatchDOGS  Program” in the subject line of the email.

Step 2:   Purchase a WatchDOGS shirt to wear on your school day for $15 which is required while on campus.  Make your check payable to Shadycrest  PTA and return in an envelope to the school with your child along with your completed registration form.

Step 3:    Request a volunteer instruction form by email at ShadycrestPTA@yahoo.com.  All volunteers must complete the Volunteer Instructions and mandatory background check at least two weeks prior to volunteering. (click here)

Step 4:    Select a Day to Volunteer at the school via ShadycrestPTA@yahoo.com (7:15am to 3:15pm all day program) and report to the School Secretary / Counselor upon arrival at school to check in.  Volunteer Days are first come first serve.  Registration forms, shirt orders and Volunteer Instructions must be completed prior to your volunteer day.  Prior to your volunteer day, you will be contacted by a WatchDOGS team member with final instructions.
