The CompTIA A+ certification is an international industry credential that validates the knowledge of computer service technicians with the equivalent of 500 hours of hands-on experience. Those holding the A+ certification have proven competency in core hardware and operating system technologies. They are able to install, configure, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance on PCs and local area networks. |

The CompTIA i-Net+ certification is an entry-level Internet certification program that tests baseline technical knowledge of Internet, Intranet and Extranet technologies, independent of specific Internet-related career roles. Pearland High School has an ASE certified program by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), and it is an AYES (Automotive Youth Educational Systems) school. PHS’s automotive program gives students a jump start on their ASE certification. After two years of relevant work experience, prospective candidates register for and take one or more of ASE's exams. ASE has years of experience helping the automotive industry verify the skills and knowledge of the technicians working at dealerships, independent repair shops, collision shops, franchises, fleets, and more. Car owners and the service and repair industry regard ASE certification as the standard measure of competency and a guide to quality auto repairs. |

Certified Nurse Assistant - CNA |

The nursing assistant course prepares you to work in the health care industry in places such as hospitals, doctor’s offices, nursing homes, assisted care facilities, and home health care. Nursing assistants perform routine tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff such as answering patient’s call bells, deliver messages, serve meals, make beds, and help patients eat, dress, and bathe. Assistants may also provide skin care, take temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. |

Pharmacy Technician - CPhT |

Increasingly, as states rely more and more on pharmacy technicians, more and more are moving toward requiring formal certification. A pharmacy technician assists licensed pharmacists, either in retail or mail-order pharmacies, or in hospitals. Regardless of the setting, technicians help provide medication and other healthcare products to patients. Technicians usually perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medication for patients, such as counting tablets and labeling bottles. |

National Construction Career Tests (NCCT) are a series of career tests created for secondary career and technical education (CTE). These tests are based upon NCCER's standardized Contren® curriculum, and integrate directly into post-secondary and apprenticeship programs.
