Introduction to World Agricultural
Science and Technology
Designed to introduce beginning students to global agriculture, this course includes agricultural career
development, leadership, communications, and personal finance. This class enables a student to
participate in the FFA youth club and other activities.

Applied Agricultural Science and Technology
This course is designed to enhance the agricultural comprehension of beginning students. It includes
studies of soils, plants, animals, agricultural construction, food science, and leadership, as well as a
supervised occupational experience program. This class enables a student to participate in the FFA youth
club and other activities.

Animal Science
This course covers nutrition, reproduction, health and management of domestic animals (cattle, sheep
and swine). Students are eligible for membership in FFA.

Career Connections
This is an activity-based career development course that provides linkages between classroom
experiences, community resources and experiences, and career choices to real world outcomes.
Opportunities will be provided to develop and/or improve self-awareness in relation to career
opportunities and options and the related education, training and lifelong learning and success in all adult
roles. Exploration and experiences of a variety of career options within specific career concentrations and
the development and/or refining of employability skills will be included.

Keyboarding
This course develops psychomotor skills in operating the keyboard to help the student develop acceptable
speed and accuracy levels by emphasizing touch-keyboarding skills. Keyboarding also provides instruction
in the formatting of basic documents for personal, college, and business use. This course is essential in
the development of speed and accuracy in word processing.

Business Computer Information Systems I (BCIS I)
(Technology Applications Credit) (Tech Prep and ATC College Credit) (DAP)
This course develops technology skills with applications to personal, college, or business situations
focusing on the Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. In addition,
students gain knowledge of telecommunications, desktop publishing, presentation management,
networking, operating systems, and emerging technologies. Skills are developed at an intermediate level,
and students are prepared for the IC3 certification exam. This course counts for the required Technology
Applications Credit for graduation. Students are encouraged to become active in Business Professionals
of America.
To receive Tech Prep, ATC, and DAP credit, students must complete the course (or sequence of related
courses) in the 11th or 12th grade with a score of 80 or higher.

Business Multimedia (BIMM)
(Technology Applications Credit) (Tech Prep and ATC College Credit) (DAP)
This course is the latest in multimedia production. The software applications covered are Photoshop,
Flash, Publisher, and Dreamweaver. Business Multimedia develops proficiencies in designing,
importing, and manipulating advanced text, graphics, audio, and video used in presentation management
and animation production. This course counts for the required Technology Applications Credit for
graduation. Students are encouraged to join the Business Professionals of America student organization.

Introduction to Engineering Design
(Tech Prep and ATC College Credit) (DAP)
Introduction to Engineering Design, formally known as Engineering Graphics, is focused on the 3-D
modeling, design, planning, and technical communications associated with engineering and architecture
design. Emphasis is placed on machine drawings and graphics. Equipment will include computer
hardware/software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor R5) and appropriate related equipment. To receive
Tech Prep, ATC, and DAP credit, students must complete the course (or sequence of related courses) in
the 11th or 12th grade with a score of 80 or higher.

Video Technology
(Computer Multimedia and Animation Technology)
Students will learn how to use various technologies associated with video production. This course allows
students to create, edit, and render characters, scenes or objects, and to design and produce multimedia
presentations that use video and audio resources to deliver a message. Students will use analog and
digital editing equipment
