GRADING
Daily grades will make up 40% of the six weeks grade. Tests will make up the remaining 60%. A major grade will be taken twice 6 weeks for the daily warm-ups. One daily grade will be dropped per six weeks. Extra credit points will be given for well as assignments students choose to do throughout the 6 weeks when finished with classroom work.
LATE WORK:
Assignments turned in one day late will be accepted for 11 points
off. Assignments turned in after that will require attendance
during tutoring to receive credit – again with 11 points taken off.
CLASSROOM RULES:

4. I will come to class prepared by bringing my supplies and assignments.
5. I will work the entire class period at maximum level.
World Geography
The purpose of World Geography is to understand and relate location, movement, region and the human
environmental impact on the history of nations and the groups that inhabit them. This course puts heavy
emphasis on the past, present and future of the world’s social, economic, and political events as they
may be affected by the world’s geography. World news, travel itineraries and trade agreement
simulations are part of the course.
World History
The purpose of this study is to give the student an understanding of the changing world in which he lives
through an examination of world cultures, their problems and achievements from earliest times. Major
concentration is on those movements, events and forces which have shaped the modern world.
