Department Policies

Grading scale for English:  

Daily grades (homework, quizzes, class work): 40%
Major grades (tests, writing assignments, projects): 60% 
               (There is a minimum of 3 major grades per 6 weeks)

Late work/ Make-up Work:

English 1 and English 2: For each day an assignment is late, the student loses 10 points off his/her grade.
No late work is accepted after the 3rd day.  All late assignments must have a completed LATE WORK form. When a student is absent, he/ she is responsible for completing all missed work. 

English 1 & 2 Pre-AP: No late work is accepted.
