The 7th/8th grade girls traveled to Lomax on (11/14/2011) to compete in the first cross country meet of 2011. It was a good start to the season with the 7th grade girls placing 3rd and the 8th grade girls placing 2nd. With over 100 girls competing at each grade level our top finishers were in the top 30 for the 7th grade and in the top 25 in the 8th grade.

Academic Decathlon teams from Pearland and Dawson high schools blazed across the finish line at a regional scholastic competition that drew 27 contenders this January.
Taking the lead in the large-school division with 46,669 points, PHS students ranked as team gold in Super Quiz and overall score.
The PHS competitors, who took home 71 medals, will advance to the state meet in late February.

Artwork by nine Pearland ISD students will hang in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's Hayloft Gallery this March.

Join in the excitement and history of making the first-ever Pearland Future Farmers of America Livestock Show a success.
The inaugural Pearland FFA show is slated for Sept. 27-29 at Pearland ISD's Richard L. Wagoner Agricultural Facility on Bailey Road.

Cafeteria menus at Pearland Junior High West now feature home-grown vegetables and herbs thanks to a campus garden funded by the Pearland Rotary Club.
Freshly-harvested broccoli, Swiss chard, cabbage and lettuce have found their way onto students' plates, while savory cilantro, rosemary, dill, oregano and parsley season lunch entrees.
