DHS presents '25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'

'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'
Dawson High School's fall musical will spell f-u-n for the whole family.

Ovation Theatre will present the Tony Award-winning show "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" in the DHS auditorium, 2050 Cullen Boulevard, on the following dates:

• Aug. 30-31 and Sept. 1 and 6: 7:30 p.m.
• Sept. 8: 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

In this hilarious but poignant musical, six endearing contestants with unique talents battle for the county spelling championship. Along the way, they capture the thrills and challenges of growing up.

No two performances are alike because the show -- structured as an actual spelling bee -- uses volunteer spellers from the audience to interact with characters on stage for improvisational fun.

Advance tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens and $7 for adults. Tickets are $7 for everyone at the door.
