Dr. Jennifer Glenn Morrow
Robert Turner College and Career High School, slated to open in fall 2013, welcomes Dr. Jennifer Glenn Morrow as its principal.

The Pearland ISD Board of Trustees named Morrow as principal during its Aug. 14 meeting.

Pearland ISD's third high school, which will be housed at the Bailey Road Facility, will provide new opportunities for high school students to achieve college credits and career certifications.

About Jennifer Morrow

Morrow holds a doctorate in educational administration and child development from the University of South Carolina.

Most recently she served as the principal of Clear Creek ISD's Clear Horizons Early College High School, where students could graduate with an associate's degree from San Jacinto College.

As principal of Robert Turner, Morrow hopes to continue a tradition of rigorous academics and workforce learning to help students save time and money on the road to college and career success.

In addition to extensive experience as an assistant principal and principal, she has taught intermediate students and led university classes.

A successful grant writer and presenter, she has shared her professional expertise at educational conferences and in publications nationwide.

This year Morrow won Clear Creek ISD's Secondary Principal of the Year Award.

"My philosophy is that all children deserve equal opportunities for educational success. It is my mission to help each student explore these opportunities. As an administrator, I focus on preserving and nurturing students' safety while meeting their academic and social needs," she said.

About Robert Turner College and Career High School

Robert Turner will partner with local colleges and businesses for equipment, supplies and training expertise, in turn producing graduates with career-ready skills for the area workforce.

In addition to saving students thousands in college tuition dollars, the campus will provide flexibility for programs to adapt to the changing job market and student interest.

Possible fields of study include medical, information technology, agriculture science and radio/TV/video communications.

Pearland and Dawson high school students will choose to attend the campus rather than being zoned there. Meanwhile, students will continue to participate in fine arts and athletics at PHS or DHS, with transportation provided between their home campus and Robert Turner.
