In honor of professionals who help to hire these quality individuals, Pearland ISD salutes its Human Resource Services Department during the third annual Texas Education Human Resources Day on Oct. 10.

The Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators initiated this special day to recognize the link between effective hiring practices and outstanding public education.

For the last three years, Gov. Rick Perry has issued a proclamation honoring human resource professionals for their important contribution to classrooms statewide.

Pearland ISD human resources professionals' responsibilities include. . . .
• Recruiting, hiring and retaining quality educators and staff
• Administering substitute orientation
• Conducting training sessions such as new employee induction, interview skills for teachers and administrators and Aspiring Administrators Academy

With more than 2,200 employees, Pearland ISD relies on the leadership and workforce management provided by HRS to attract and retain the best teachers and employees in the industry.
