Color Guard The Color Guard is the team that mostly represents the JROTC. They present the colors at many ceremonies such as football games, National Honor Society inductions, and other formal events. They also participate in competitions having to answer questions about the flag and demonstrating their skills handling the U.S. and Texas flag. |
Drill Team The Drill Team is also another team that is closely associated with JROTC. The team practices rifle movements and marching. At competitions, the team is inspected to know general information needed to know during inspection, march, and perform a 6-10 minute routine. |
Raider Team The Raider Team is a team of physical training. They work on many different physical activies such as running, push ups, pull ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, and much more. Of course, the Raider Team also has time for games such as basketball and soccer. At competitions, they normally compete in a series of sit ups, pull ups/flex arm hang, push ups, and a mile run. |
Rifle Team The rifle team shoots with .177 caliber air rifles that fire small metallic pellets. They compete with other JROTC rifle teams around the area. They shoot in the standing, kneeling, and prone position. The rifle team is instructed by our Senior Army Instructor. |
