The United States Academic Decathlon is one of the premier academic competitions for high school students in the United States. USAD contests are held in 39 states, as well as in British Columbia, Canada. It consists of ten events, which include seven tests, two performance events and an essay.

We are extremely proud to announce that the Pearland High School Academic Decathlon team is the State Champion for 2008! Our students excelled in every category this past weekend and represented PHS and Pearland in the most positive of ways. We will be advancing to Nationals for the first time in school history and we will continue to work extremely hard in order to bring home a National Championship!
Please make an effort to acknowledge these students when you see them and encourage them as they continue to pursue the goals that they set at the beginning of the school year. Below are their achievements and individual scores. Thanks to all of you for your support!
