1. How do I set up Outlook on my computer?
A.  It’s easy to set up the Outlook email program on the computer in your classroom or any in district networked computer.  Follow these instructions.

2. I saved my personal folders at the end of last school year to CD/USB drive.  How do I get them back into Outlook?
A. In order to use the personal folders you saved to a USB drive or a CD, they must first be imported into Outlook.  Follow these instructions.

3. Help!  I can’t find my personal folders.  What do I do? 
A. Sometimes the link between your personal folders, which live in your home folder, and Outlook, is lost.  To re-establish this link, follow these instructions.

4. How do I import my personal folders into Outlook?
A.  In order to use the personal folders you saved to a USB drive or a CD, they must first be imported into Outlook.  Follow these instructions.

5. I keep getting messages from the System Administrator telling me I am over the limit.  What do I do?
A.  You will need to clean up your mailbox. Delete email from your Inbox, Sent Items, and Deleted Items. Remember that size matters! You may only have a few emails left, but if they are large (as with large attachments) you should open and save the attachment, but delete the email.

6. I am not receiving email from parents/parents are not receiving email from me.  What do I do?
A.  Send a brief description of the problem to kkovacevich@pearlandisd.org or egarcia@pearlandisd.org with the complete email address of the parents.

7. What are the limits for sending and receiving email?

A.  Sending email in district:  10 Mb     
Out of district: 5 Mb
Receiving email from someone within district: 10 Mb
Receiving email from someone out of district: 5 Mb

8. I’m receiving SPAM.  What do I do?
A.   Do not delete the email.  Send an email to greend@pearlandisd.org describing the problem.  The email will be deleted once examined or you will be instructed when to do so.

9. How do I access my email via the internet?
A.  To access Outlook Web Access, on any internet connected computer, go to http://webmail.pearlandisd.org  Login using your network username and password.

10. I have just set up my email. How do I now set up/create personal folders?
A. Follow these instructions.

11. I deleted an item an now need it. Is there any way to get it back?
A.Click the Deleted Items folder
Go to Tools-->Recover Deleted Items
Select the message(s) you would like to recover
Left-click email icon (This will move the deleted message back to the Deleted Items folder, where you can open and read, or move it back to the inbox or another folder..)
