1. My computer is running slow/is sluggish. What can I do?
A. If you have noticed an increase in response time on your computer, there are a couple of maintenance procedures you can follow to help alleviate the problem.
- Defragment the Hard Drive
- Open My Computer.
- Right-click the local disk volume that you want to defragment, and then click Properties.
- On the Tools tab, click Defragment Now.
- Delete Your Temporary Internet Files
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools on the menu bar.
- Go to Internet Options
- On the General tab, click Delete Files under Temporary Internet Files.
- In the Delete Files dialog box, click to select the Delete all offline content check box, and then click OK. (This could take several minutes.)
- Click OK.
There are, of course more maintenance procedures, however, they are best performed by one of your PHS technology representatives. If you have followed the above procedures, rebooted your computer, and the sluggishness persists, please create a work order in Eduphoria Helpdesk.
