Election Overview:
On June 10, 2003, the Pearland Independent School
District Board of Trustees called a bond referendum for September
27, 2003 in the amount of $37,165,000. This bond issue is the next
step in a ten-year demographic trend study and facilities construction
plan. It is the result of eleven months of planning, including
nine special sessions of the Board of Trustees. Hundreds of hours
and many stakeholders have been involved in studying the needs
of the district and in preparing information on the proposed projects
for Pearland ISD.

Funding Overview:
Based on taxable values of the district and the anticipated
needs to be addressed in the upcoming bond election, the district
is confident that NO tax increase will be necessary for this bond
issue.
