AR Store
The cut off for the AR store is this Wednesday, May 9 at 2:45. The store will be May 14-17 at you regularly scheduled library time.

AR PJ Day
We are getting close J .  We only need 330 points for the goal. Thank you for encouraging your students to read and take tests. I will be sending notes home with the kids to remind them about wearing their PJ's to school.  The notes will be in you boxes

*Our current AR list containing 4300 titles is available to view on our Shadycrest web page.
*The Pearland public library has two current lists of our AR test titles listed by title, author, and reading level. *The "AR Store" will be set up in the library twice a year. In January and in May, students may "spend" their earned AR points purchasing items from the store. Students may only use AR points to buy store items; no money may be brought from home.
*Shadycrest has set a school wide goal of earning 20,000 AR points for the 2006-2007 school year. If our goal is reached by May, all students and teachers will be rewarded with a special day.

BLUEBONNET BOOKS

*Third and fourth grade students who read 5 Bluebonnet books and pass the AR tests that go with the books, will get to vote for their favorite book in January.  

*The Bluebonnet Pizza Party will be on March 30, 2007.  Third graders who read 10 books and fourth graders who read 12 books (and pass the AR tests) by March 23, will share in the pizza fun!  Mrs. Matusek will send out invitations to students who reach this goal.

BOOK FAIR

Our Fall Book Fair will take place in the Shadycrest Library during the week of November 6-10.  We will need many volunteers to help make the fair successful. Consider volunteering. All help is greatly appreciated!
