To Join our Birthday-Star Book Club all you have to do is bring a $10.00 donation to the library on or near your child's birthday. You will then have the opportunity to choose a book from a set of assorted children's books from the Birthday Box. Along with the book that you and your child choose, your child will receive a label to place inside the book stating their name and birthday; they will also receive a participation certificate. We will take a photograph of your child holding his/her book and display them on the Birthday-Star Bulletin Board. Your child will be the first person to "Check Out" their birthday book and when it is returned it will be a wonderful edition to our Birthday Book Collection that our future stars will be able to enjoy for years to come.
If you would like your child to participate, but are unable to come to school to help them choose a book just print out the form, fill it out, return it to the school and we will help your child make a good choice. Also if your child has already had their birthday this school year you may still participate in our program - just come by the library and choose your book from the Birthday Box.
For an additional $3.00 you could even purchase the Accelerated Reader Quiz that goes along with the book. That way they will be able to share a book and a quiz! |
