International Library
Our International Library has really grown over the last few years! We have received books from around the world, all donated by Silverlake students, parents and staff. We now have books from Russia, China, Sweden, Mexico, Pakistan, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Indonesia, The Philippines, Italy, Kenya, Great Britain, Wales, Greece, Canada, France and Japan.
If you have the opportunity to travel outside the U.S., please remember our little collection and pick up a book for us while you travel. Our students love seeing these books from other countries.
We have also been building audio language centers, which consist of a language tape, along with a book or workbook—some sets even include a tape player. We have centers for the following foreign languages: French, German, Spanish and Italian. These may be checked out by parents or by students with parental permission. So if you or your children are interested in experiencing a different language, be sure to "check-out" our International Library!
