Mrs. Nikole Zurek

Welcome to our 4th grade class page! I'm so excited about this year!

This is my 14th year teaching, and my 3rd year at Pearland ISD!  I have previously taught 4th and 5th grades in the Chicago, Illinois area, and I worked for five years at a charter school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I was both a Math Specialist and RtI Coach. Last year I taught 4th grade right here at Carleston!

I LOVE teaching all subjects, but especially reading and writing. I think that reading and writing are one of the best subjects because a book can take you places you have never been! I have been writing stories since I was a little girl, and even published my first children's book three years ago. It is called Walt the Onederful, and I can't wait to read it to you (or have you read it to me)!

Not only do I work in Pearland, but I live in Pearland, too.  I have been married for 9 years to my husband Robb.  We have an 8 year-old son named Jacob, a 6 year old daughter named Nora, and a Sheltie named Puck (can you tell I like hockey?). Jacob is a 2nd grader at Carleston, and Nora is a 1st grader here!

I am confident that we are going to have an awesome year! I am so excited about the accomplishments each one of you will make. If you ever have any questions, the easiest way to get a hold of me is through email.
