Reaching for the Stars with Good Character
This will be my ninth year as School Counselor at Lawhon Elementary. I am very excited to welcome our returning students back and to meet our new incoming students. This year our school theme is “Lights, Camera, Learning”. I will be helping our students shine with good character by planning for each classroom to visit me in my office once every six weeks to teach a lesson focusing on the following character traits: Respect, Trustworthiness, Caring, Fairness, Responsibility and Citizenship. In addition, students will hear a character building message every day during morning announcements.
I also provide individual counseling, as well as topical small group counseling to those students who may need some extra support to succeed in the school setting. Students are referred to me by their teachers or parents/guardians for individual and group counseling. Friendship/Social Skills, Self Esteem, Anxiety, Anger Management, Divorce, and Grief counseling are some of the many topical groups available to our students.
If you have any concerns regarding your son or daughter, please feel free to contact me at 281 412-1445. I would love to talk with you over the phone or set up a conference so that we can meet in person.
