READ 180 The READ 180 program is a nationally recognized reading intervention program from Scholastic. The program directly addresses individual needs through instructional software, high-interest fiction & non-fiction, and direct instruction of reading and writing skills in both whole and small groups. The instructional model begins with 20 minutes of whole group instruction in reading, vocabulary, and writing skills. Three 20 minute rotations follow: small instruction, instructional software, and modeled & independent reading. The class ends with a 10 minute wrap-up of the day back in whole group. About Me I'm married and have three daughters ages 23, 19, & 19 (twins). I graduated from University of Houston and this is my 21th year in education. My teaching experiences include 3rd grade, ESL for 5th-8th grade, TitleI math, and READ 180. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Special Education with plans to continue on to become a diagnostician.
