Students will attend "Specials" classes daily, from 10:30-11:15.  The Specials classes will work on a 6 day rotation, rotating between PE, Art, Music, and Library.  The daily Specials class your child attends will be listed weekly on our Peek of the Week.  The schedule for our class is as follows:

Day 1-  PE

Day 2- Music ( Loosemore)

Day 3- PE

Day 4- Library

Day 5- PE

Day 6- Music ( Jones)

Our Peek

Your child's Peek of Week will be uploaded weekly onto this website as well as go home with your child every Friday.  The Peek includes the topics we will be covering during the following week, the homework assignments, reminders of events that will be taking place, our "Student of the Week," as well as a list of the current Spelling Words.

Thursday Nights-

Study spelling words, Math 4 Today pg., and DOL. Sign the red conduct folder and bring back to school on Friday.

 Conferences

My conference time is from 10:30-11:15 each morning.  I can also meet after school from 3:15– 3:45 pm on most afternoons.   

Report Cards and Progress Reports

Report Cards go home every 8-9 weeks.  Progress Reports go home every three weeks.  Conduct and Work Habits are the only 2 categories in which an “E” may be given.  All others only go up to an “S.” There are three numerical grades; Reading, Language, and Math.  The Language grade is made up of 90% Langauge grades, and 10% Spelling grades.

Reading Logs

Please read with your child for twenty minutes each night.  There will be a reading Log stapled in your child's blue homework folder that goes home each day.  Please record all books read, and keep the log in the folder.    It is your child's responsibility to make sure they do not lose the Reading Log.  Once it is full, I will document how many books were read  and replace it with a new one.  If one hundred books are read by the end of the year, you child will receive a certificate at the end of the year.
