Welcome to First Grade at Magnolia Elementary!  I am happy to have all of you as a part of our class this year!  I look forward to working together with you to make first grade a wonderful experience for your child.  

  • Check Skyward often to see your child's grades.
  • Please look around to find some helpful information for you and your student as well as some fun websites and puzzles!

Here is what our daily schedule looks like:

7:55-8:15       Morning Work/Check Folders and Homework

8:15-8:45       Phonics/Spelling

8:45-9:15       Shared Reading

9:15-10:15      Guided Reading/Literacy Stations

10:15-10:45     Writing

10:45-11:00     Bathroom/Wash hands for lunch

11:00-11:30     Lunch

11:30-11:45     Recess

11:45-1:00      Calendar/Math/Math Stations

1:00-1:15       Science 

1:15-2:00       Specials (Music, P.E., Library)  Mrs. Merkh's Conference time

2:00-2:15   Science, continued

2:15-2:45   Social Studies
