FASTT MATH
From the FASTT Math Website: "The FASTT Math intervention program uses the research-validated FASTT system (Fluency and Automaticity through Systematic Teaching with Technology) to help all students develop fluency with basic math facts. FASTT Math automatically differentiates instruction based on each student’s individual fluency levels in customized computer sessions.
Students are eager to build fluency in FASTT Math because of the targeted instruction, engaging practice games, and embedded motivators." Your student's goal is 169 fast facts in multiplication. Students receive a grade every week for completing 3 or more lessons of FASTT MATH. There are multiple opportunities to do FASTT MATH during the school day. Some opportunities are before school, extension, warm ups, independent work time, and any free time offered by the teachers Students will complete the multiplication part of the program when they achieve 169 facts. Fifth graders will then progress to division, addition and finally subtraction if time allows this school year. If you want more info on your child's progress, I can print you a report any time.
