Corrected Work

Daily work and tests scored at 69% and below can be corrected for a score of 70. It is the responsibility of the student to request and re-submit corrected daily work and tests.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Our parent/teacher conferences will be scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:50– 9:20.  Please call the school or email the teacher to schedule an appointment for one of these two days.  NOTE:  A 24 hour notice is appreciated when scheduling these conferences.  We will meet with you as a team of teachers in order to keep everyone involved with your child’s education aware of any concerns you may have.

Agendas/Planners

Although it is not required, we encourage parents to check your child’s agenda/planner every day and initial at the bottom of each day.  This is where daily homework is recorded.  If there is no homework for a particular subject, the word NONE should be written in that subject area.

Missing Assignment/Missing Homework Policy

If a student is missing an assignment or homework, he/she will not participate in Friday recess.  Two or more missing assignments or homework will result in an office referral.  In the case of an absence, the teachers will work with each student to ensure that assignments are completed and the student will be allowed to participate in recess.

Thursday Folders

Your child will bring home a blue folder each Thursday that contains:

• Work completed in all classes during the previous week.  NOTE: A conduct week is Thursday-Wednesday.
• A Right Choice Card with the child’s conduct grades for all subjects for the previous week.
• Important announcements from Rogers Middle School, Pearland ISD, PE/Fine Arts teachers, clubs, etc.
• Progress reports and report cards.

Please sign the conduct sheet each Thursday and return it to school with your child each Friday.

Skyward

Your child’s grades are available online for you to monitor.  You may access the Skyward program through the Rogers Middle School homepage on Pearland ISD’s website with the login name and password you received when your child was registered for school.  If you do not have this information or have misplaced this information, you may call the front office at 832-736-6400 and they will help you to the best of their ability.
