Welcome to our site! We are currently working on main idea and supporting details in the classroom. The kids are reading various works of fantasy for their genre focus this six weeks, so encourage them to enjoy the magical aspects of literature!

Students are using Literary Passports this year, too, which gives them a chance to read genres they may never have read before. The ten types of books they will read this year are:

• Mystery
• Historical fiction
• Biography
• Autobiography
• Informational text
• Traditional literature
• Realistic fiction
• Poetry
