Following an intense competition, Pearland Independent School District students from all four Pearland junior high schools secured 155 spots in the all-region band during the Texas Music Educators Association Region 19 auditions on Nov. 6.
Pearland Independent School District has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2021 honor by The Houston Chronicle. The award is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee research company Energage, LLC. Pearland Independent School district adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate.
The tax rate will effectively be raised by 3.37 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $26.70.
