Welcome to my 8th grade English and yearbook class. My name is Cassandra Shuptar, and I will be guiding your student through the maze that is writing. During the year, we will not only focus on the types of writing you student will encounter during their academic career, such as narratives, expository, research, etc., but we will also be incorporating more writing into their daily writing that will focus more on real world writing. My goal this year is to help your student become, or at least start to become, a better-rounded writer. I don’t know about you, but I surely don’t write essays every day, even as an English teacher, and I am sure you don’t as well.
The link below is to a form that I have asked parents to fill out. The last question on the form gives you the opportunity to tell me a little bit about your child that you feel I should know. This is not something I will share with them or other student’s. This is to help me learn more about who your child it apart from the student.
