I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and attended Prairie View A & M University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. My intended career choice upon graduation was to become a physician, so I applied, was accepted to, and enrolled in medical school. I remained for only two years and then entered the teaching profession. In the years since, I have come to know and believe that teaching is my calling in life.
I began my career in education as a secondary science teacher of grades six through eight. I taught science for 11 years. Because I enjoyed using technology with my students, my Instructional Technology Specialist suggested that I apply for a Technology Specialist position in my prior district and the rest as they say is history!
I thoroughly enjoy being a resource for teachers and students as we all explore together the tremendous advantages and challenges of ever-evolving technology!
