    Following an intense competition, Pearland Independent School District students from all four Pearland junior high schools secured 148 spots in the all-region band during the Texas Music Educators Association Region 19 auditions on November 4.

    PJH West’s Spooner receives statewide recognition as ESL Secondary Teacher of the Year

    Karen Spooner is an English as a Second Language teacher at Pearland Junior High West and has recently been named the 2023 Secondary ESL Teacher of the Year by the Texas Association for Bilingual Education (TABE). This recognition is given annually to one exceptional ESL teacher dedicated to meeting the needs of Emergent Bilingual students, while showing outstanding leadership attributes necessary to proudly represent all ESL teachers in Texas.

    Reunification Drill

    This Friday, October 20, Pearland ISD will be conducting a Reunification drill using a small number of students and staff from Rogers Middle School only. The Reunification drill will not be an active shooter drill and we anticipate this to be a calm experience for the participating students, staff and volunteering parents.

  • Pearland ISD Junior High Bands Selected to Perform at Prestigious Music Festival

    The Berry Miller Junior High and Pearland Junior High West Honors Bands were selected to perform at the 2024 Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha, in Indianapolis, March 21-23, 2024.
