Degrees and Certifications:
I am so excited to start a great 4th grade year! This is my 7th year at Challenger and my 4th year teaching 4th grade. I have also taught 1st and 3rd grade, but 4th grade is my favorite! I hope to instill a love of reading and writing in my 4th graders and maybe even some grammar too! I strive to create a classroom where students feel inspired to learn, grow and think creatively. Along with academics, it is always my goal to create a positive classroom environment. The classroom should be a place where students are kind and encouraging to one another and feel the classroom is a safe place to make mistakes, learn, grow and never give up! Our classroom family is a big part of the success students have during the school year. I always love watching how much students learn and grow in 4th grade.
If you ever have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask.
We are in this together!
Teacher's Wish List:
Here is a wish list of items I'd love to add to our classroom. If you'd ever like to donate to our classroom, I'd appreciate it!
-I will update this as needed this year! :)
*Below are the explanations of the resources you can find on my webpage!
I will download a digital copy of the homework every week. I usually am able to download the homework on Fridays, so students can always print a copy and work on it over the weekend if they’d like. I also keep copies on a labeled shelf at school, so students can always get an extra copy of their homework if they misplace theirs.
Spelling City/Scholastic Order Class Page:
The weekly spelling lists are uploaded for students to get extra practice with their spelling words.
This is the link to the Scholastic Book Club page for ordering books online with a credit card. My class code is LGLFX.
Book Reports/Class Projects/Study Guides:
I will download a digital copy of any book reports or projects I assign throughout the year.
I will download a copy of any important forms, such as party information, field trip forms, etc. on my webpage.
Anytime I find a good website, I like to share it with my students. If you know of any good sites, please share it with me! I like to have lots of good resources for extra practice that students find fun.
Peek of the Week:
I update the peek weekly. I include important upcoming dates and what we are learning in class.
You can find a detailed daily schedule of your child, with specials and lunch times.
My conference time is 2:05-2:50 Monday-Thursday.
