Hello Challenger Families! We may not get to see you for the next few weeks, but that doesn't mean we have forgotten about you! Your Specials Team (Music/Art/PE) is updating our websites and preparing activities you can enjoy during this time away from school. Please see the Distance Learning Music tab to the left for fun activities, videos and websites you can use.
I have also added a tab for Library Resources. Don't forget to read 30 minutes every day!
I am available via email M-F from 12:45-1:30.
Welcome to Music! My name is Ms. Pike and this is my 12th year at Challenger. I grew up in Illinois and have always loved MUSIC! My elementary music teacher, Mrs. Fisher, was awesome! I still remember her room - filled with wonderful instruments and lots of fun moments. As I moved on through school I continued to be involved in choir and anything that involved being on stage. My high school choir director, Mrs. Williams, encouraged me to continue my love of music. So...after finishing high school, I went on to attend college at Illinois State University. I graduated with a degree in Music Education with a focus in choral/general/vocal music. I taught for two years in Illinois before moving to Pearland in 1998. I taught here at Challenger from 1998-1999 and then chose to stay home and be a mom for 9 years. (I have two AMAZING and TALENTED kids.☺) When I was ready to return to teaching I was so lucky to be hired at Challenger for the second time! I'm so thankful for the opportunity to make beautiful music with your children every day!
My conference period is 12:45-1:30 each day
