The 2018-2019 school year at Sam Jamison Middle School is going to be amazing! Teaching and inspiring students is one of the great joys of my life. For the majority of my adult life I served as a Youth Pastor (12 years) and as a Pastor (13 years) in various Texas churches. I joined the SJMS faculty in 2017. I have a Bachelors Degree from Dallas Baptist University, and a Masters Degree and Doctorate Degree from Southwestern Seminary (SWBTS) in Fort Worth. 

I'm married to the most amazing and beautiful teacher in Pearland, Annette Jennings, who also teaches Science and Social Studies at a sister school in Pearland, Alexander Middle School. Together we have three successful students (Nathan 22, Emma 18, and Daniel 16) who have each enjoyed the Pearland schools for the past 8 years. My eldest, Nathan, graduated from Pearland HS in 2015. My daughter, Emma, is currently a senior at Pearland HS and the drum major for the Pride of Pearland PHS Marching Band. My youngest, Daniel, is a sophomore and is working on his Associates Degree while attending HS at Robert Turner College and Career HS in Pearland.

I hope and pray for the success of each and every student in my classroom this year. This success is guaranteed when the student, parent and teacher all work hard together toward the same goals. So, let's work hard together and have a great year! This just might be the best year ever!
