Following an intense competition, Pearland Independent School District students from all four Pearland junior high schools secured 179 spots in the all-region band during the Texas Music Educators Association Region 19 auditions on Nov. 5.
Following an intense competition, 70 Pearland Independent School District students from all four Pearland junior high schools won places in all-region choir during the Texas Music Educators Association Region 19 auditions on Oct. 21 and 22.
Dawson High School is a renewal recipient of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Safe Sports School award for its athletic training program for the 3rd consecutive time.
Pearland Independent School District was recently recognized by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for excellence in budget presentation with the Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) for the 2022-23 budget year. Pearland Junior High West 8th grader Sophia Guzzetta won Grand Champion Rabbit Showmanship, Pearland Junior High East 8th grader Tyler Hammond won Grand Champion Simmental – Heifer, Turner College and Career High School senior Lorelai Dodson won Reserve Grand Champion Lamb and Senior Lamb Showmanship, Pearland High School 11th grader Samantha Guzzetta won Goat: Class Winner and Senior Goat Showmanship and Shadycrest Elementary 4th grader Kasen Douglas won Reserve Champion Market Broilers – Poultry.
