Hello!  My name is Jordan Anderson and I am so excited to have you in my class this year.  It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures.  I can’t wait to see what the year brings us.  I want to know all about you, but first let me tell you some things about me.

   I am happily married to the hardest working man I know! We have two children - Kaysen who attends Challenger with me and Cooper who is living his best life at daycare while we are at school. 

   I was raised in the Sagemont area and attended Pasadena and Clear Creek schools. Upon high school graduation in 2002, I received a volleyball scholarship to attended the University of Central Arkansas. I stayed in Arkansas for two years and then moved to the University of Mary –Hardin Baylor to finish my degree in Elementary Education in December of 2006. I also have received my Masters in Educational Leadership from University of Texas Permian Basin.

   I began working in the education field in Killeen ISD in January 2007 where I was a 2nd-grade teacher for 4 years, Campus Technologist for 2 years, and a Math Coach for 1 year.  While in Killeen, I provided Math Professional Development to teachers as well as was part of the Curriculum Writing Committee for several years. We then moved to Odessa where I taught 2nd grade for 2 more years.  When the “Oil Boom” crashed, we moved back to the area in the summer of 2016 and I taught in Deer Park ISD for the last 4 years, 3 years in 2nd Grade, and 1 year in 3rd Grade. I am starting my 15th year of teaching this year and my 2nd year here at Challenger.

   I am very excited about our upcoming year and blessed to have you in my class!
