As we begin the second week of school, please note that traffic continues to be heavy resulting in some delays to bus routes. If you are waiting at your child's bus stop to receive them from the bus, please remain at the stop beyond the expected arrival time so you do not miss the bus.
If your child is in Pre-K or Kindergarten, please be prepared to show your photo ID to the driver to receive your student. This way, we can ensure the safety of your child.

Please note that students in grades PK-4 must be registered and approved to ride the bus before service will begin. Please register for bus service through your child's Skyward.

Pearland ISD's fleet of 186 buses travels more than 6,000 miles daily on 128 routes to transport more than 9,000 students to and from school. These buses are part of a well-organized, safety-oriented transportation system, with each bus inspected and repaired regularly.
Because of the precious cargo carried on school buses, great care is given to drivers' qualifications, certification, training and operational requirements. Drivers must pass an annual physical and medical exam as prescribed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, as well as a pre-employment drug/alcohol test, criminal records background check and annual driver's license record check. Drivers are also subject to random alcohol and drug screenings throughout their employment.
The Transportation Department partners with the community to provide safe, efficient transportation services. Accomplishing this mission requires the assistance and teamwork of the driver, students, parents and school personnel.
