Mini Grant, Major Impact: Win $250 for your class NOW

The Pearland ISD Education Foundation is extending a new opportunity for teachers to receive funding for classrooms through a new mini-grant program that will solicit direct support from community members.

As the Foundation kicks off the 2023 grant season, teachers are invited to apply for a mini-grant of up to $250 to support their classroom needs. Requests can include funding for projects, supplies or other programs that demonstrate support of the student learning process.  

The mini-grant program will allow community members the option to directly invest in teachers by funding a mini-grant of their choosing during the annual Evening for Education Gala on April 1, 2023. Mini-grants will be put on display for guests at the gala; therefore, teachers are encouraged to provide interesting and compelling titles and descriptions of their proposed grants.  

Eligible Applicants:

Anyone employed by Pearland ISD who is directly involved in the instruction of students (No more than one application per employee).

Since 2014, Pearland ISD Education Foundation has funded 342 educational projects, totaling over a half million, through the Innovative Teaching Grants Program.

Reviewed and awarded through an annual grant application cycle, these innovative grant projects facilitate student achievement and skill development, recognize and encourage staff excellence and expand community involvement from individuals, businesses, and civic organizations. 

To celebrate grant awards and recognize winners, Foundation board members, and district administrators, called the “Surprize Patrol,” visit classrooms and present teachers with an oversized check.
