Appeals Process

  • If a student does not qualify for the Pearland ISD G/T Program, parents/guardians have due process rights to request an appeal. The request for appeal must follow the guidelines linked below.

    In order to be reviewed, this form must be completed and submitted to the Advanced Academics Department within 10 business days of the postmark date on the denial of placement letter and must contain new information not provided during the initial round of assessment.

    Level 1 Appeals Form


    In order to be reviewed, this form must be completed and submitted to the Advanced Academics Department within 10 business days of the postmark date of notification of the Level One response. Appeals will be heard in accordance with EHBB (LOCAL) and the Pearland ISD G/T Appeal Process.
