Hi, I am Samantha Tollefsen and I am the ELAR/ Social Studies teacher on the new 6th grade  team, Malayan. I am so excited to be a part of your middle school experience! Get ready for a fun year of growth, grit, and greatness! This is my 7th year teaching and my 2nd at AMS. I grew up in Southern California, but moved to Lake Jackson my senior year of high school and graduated from Brazoswood High School. I then attended Brazosport College for two years before moving to University of Houston - Clear Lake to finish my Bachelor's degree. I then decided to continue my education at Lamar University to get my Masters of Education in Technology and Administration. 

I am married to my wonderful husband, Paul, and  we have a 4 year old named Jaxson and he is the light of our lives. I can't wait to get to know you all! Let's have a great year, Tigers!
