Welcome to the Sam Jamison Middle School Physical Education Family! My name is Joel Burris. This is my 3rd year of teaching Physical Education. I will be one of the P.E. teachers this year at Sam Jamison Middle School. Prior to teaching I was a director for a youth/student outreach organization. Spending time with young people has always been my passion. I absolutely love Physical Education and I was a former collegiate student-athlete too. 

I graduated from Putnam City High School in 2006, and then I graduated in 2011 from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

My hobbies include: spending time with my wife and family, reading, fitness, art, music and trying new food spots.
