• The Northern Brazoria County Education Alliance (NBCEA) is a non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation founded in December 2007 by a group of community partners for the purpose of aligning industry, business, education and government to improve the regional workforce and economic growth here in Pearland. NBCEA services are available to students, business and industry.  The NBCEA partnered with Robert Turner College & Career High School which opened in fall 2013. The focus is on continuous workforce improvement and technology consistent with the needs of industry and business.  The mission of the NBCEA is to align industry and the education community to develop a drug-free skilled and knowledgeable workforce that meets industry’s present and emerging needs.  The NBCEA along with its community partners are pleased to offer the following scholarships:

    • Brian and Denise Armbruster offer a scholarship in memory of Dennis Frauenberger. Frauenberger moved to Pearland in 1966 and proceeded to become an integral part of community service organizations and the CEO of Climax Lubricants and Equipment Company.  We are proud to award a $500 scholarship to a deserving Turner High School student who wishes to remain anonymous.   
    • Steele Charitable Foundation was originally founded by Erin Steele to help fund the education of children of its employees at Texas Honing (before its sale) as well as Pearland ISD students.  We are proud to award a $250 scholarship to Bryan Trinh and Hector Guerra
    • Berry Miller & Roddy Ordeneaux Scholarship- In the 1930's and 1940's, Berry Miller, Sr. was the kind of man who took the elementary school kids to the Shrine Circus and took high school kids to the Shriners’ Ball. He grew up in Arkansas as the son of a widow, began working at the age of 13 in coal mines, and then attended college and became a teacher.  Roddy Ordeneaux was an FFA Chapter and Region President when he graduated high school. He and his wife Michalyn Miller taught in Pearland for more than 30 years.  Roddy Ordeneaux started the agricultural program in the district.  He often said, “if you don’t try, you can’t do anything.”  In memory of Berry Miller, Sr. and Roddy Ordeneaux, the family are pleased to award a $500 scholarship to Mia Miguel and Haylee Webb
