Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education (K-6th Grade) Minor in Teaching English as a Second Language

Mrs. Taralee Wightman

Hey all! I am Taralee Wightman. I grew up right here in Pearland, but moved to Utah to go to college at Brigham Young University where I completed a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education (K-6th) and a minor in Teaching English Language Learners. I graduated in 2018, and taught for a few years before moving back to Pearland. I have a wonderful husband, a beautiful daughter, and the cutest son, as well as a cat and a German Shepherd. I am so happy to be here working in PISD!

I love integrating different forms of art into my teaching, as well as giving students a really hands-on, real life experience in school. I love to travel and have been out of the country a few times, including when I lived in Russia for about a year and a half (yes I do speak Russian). I am always open to hearing about new experiences, cultures, and ideas!

This year I will be teaching Science and Social Studies. I am willing to meet with you to discuss any questions or concerns (or good things!) Please contact me at and I will be able to schedule a conference with you.
